Established in 1997, the Academy of Sound Engineering is the undisputed leader in the field of education of audio engineering technicians in Poland.
About the Course
The Academy performs a wide range of activities aimed at training students and professionals in both sound recording production and live sound, as well as stage systems technology, including electro-acoustics, lighting, multimedia and more.
We have four branches in major Polish cities, including Warsaw, Jaworzno, Gdynia and Wrocław. Each year we educate hundreds of students entering the world of sound production, along with many professionals seeking to upgrade their skills.
Our facilities offer state-of-the-art equipment and software, along with a professional and friendly environment for developing essential skills in today’s audio industry. The Academy’s staff consists of experienced professionals in recording, editing, mastering, music production, sound design, and services for large-scale events.
Course Curriculum
Practical training is at the core of our education model. Students take part in hands-on sessions in computer labs, equipped with professional-grade monitors from German manufacturer ADAM Audio. Starting from T series, through AX-Series, ending up with flagship S speakers like the ADAM Audio S3V and Studio Pro SP-5 reference headphones.
Audio quality is one of the most important aspects of teaching. According to Academy Principal Krzysztof Maszota, “Audio quality is a crucial element of music production. It provides information that allows us to determine how close we are to obtaining the desired results.”
Monitors play a vital role during mixing and track capture, offering natural and detailed sound reproduction. Students rely on these tools to navigate through frequencies and make critical production decisions.
Partners and Certificates
- The Academy partners with top audio manufacturers and industry organizations to provide access to the latest technologies and certifications.
- We are an Avid Academic Learning Partner and have pioneered cooperation with PreSonus in training on Studio One DAW. Other partners include ADAM Audio (Academic Programme), Behringer (Training Center), and more.
- Our school is a certified examination center for state diplomas, meeting the requirements of the Central Examination Committee. We also work closely with the Ministry of Education and the Education Development Centre.
Lecturers
The Academy’s teaching staff are seasoned professionals with experience in various branches of the audio industry — from studio production and sound design to live concert support.
Krzysztof Maszota, the principal of the Academy and an experienced sound engineer, has been working with ADAM Audio monitors for over 15 years and personally vouches for their excellence in training contexts.
